Netflix Releases Official Trailer for ‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’
Upcoming Netflix romance-drama film, The Last Letter From Your Lover, starring Shailene Woodley, Joe Alwyn, Callum Turner, and Felicity Jones, has recently debuted its dramatic trailer. The 2021 Netflix adaption of The Last Letter From Your Lover, directed by Augustine Frizzellis, is based on the book originally published in 2008 by Jojo Moyes.

The plot follows Ellie, played by the incredible Felicity Jones, a bright-eyed and eager young journalist in contemporary London. She uncovers a fascinating find of love letters from the 1960s between Jennifer Stirling, played by the amazing Woodley, and her star-crossed lover, Anthony O’Hare, played by the marvelous Callum Turner. As Ellie is grappling with her own marriage, she turns to the events of the letters for guidance.

According to a fan on Twitter, the excitement of the film adaption has sparked an interest to read the best-selling book. The page-turning epic accompanies a married society woman (Woodley) and her super-secret love letter affair with a writer (Turner). The two fall for each other while he’s working with her husband. The affair soon escalates to pen and paper exchanges illustrating such things as, “I will never be satisfied with just a part of you.”

One of the leading ladies, Woodley shared with Entertainment Weekly, “Before I even read the script, I was inclined to say yes,” she says. “I had been really wanting to work with Augustine and just loved her as a human being… Then I read the script, and it was really beautifully executed — I don’t feel like there’s a lot of movies that are told this way and are also executed in a way that’s thoroughly entertaining and intelligent.”
