Netflix’s New Superhero Series, ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ Set to Release This Month
The hit superhero comic book series by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter’s Legacy, is making its way to Netflix this May. The superhero drama series will be the first of Millarworld comics to be released. Millar confirmed that the series will be a combination of Jupiter’s Legacy parts one and two along with Jupiter’s Circle parts one and two.
The upcoming action-adventure series will tell a story about the world’s first generation of superheroes who discovered their powers in the 1930s. Today, their children will have huge shoes to fill to continue their family legacy.
As the story unfolds, viewers will be introduced to the superhero team known as “The Union,” which has been led by Sheldon Sampson (Utopian) for 90 years.
When the originals pass the torch to their children, conflict begins to arise as they begin to struggle; to maintain their parent’s legendary reputations.
Millar is also known for Ultimate Fantastic Four and Kingsmen: Secret Service. The live-action series will be directed by former Daredevil writer and producer, Steven S. DeKnight, where the story will span from flashbacks from the 1930s to the present day.
The superhero saga series will be starring Josh Duhamel (Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian), Leslie Bibb (Grace/Lady Liberty), Matt Lanter (George/Skyfox), Tenika Davis (Petra Small), and Mike Wade (Fitz Small).
