Since becoming a father in 2020, Joe Jonas has laid relatively low but he has finally given us some insight into his new lifestyle in an interview with CBS This Morning. Joe Jonas was on tour with the Jonas Brothers for their “Happiness Begins” album when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and since then he has been quarantined with his Wife Sophie Turner and newborn baby daughter Willa Jonas.

Fans are emotional to see Joe Jonas as a father, since watching him grow from the OG Disney Jonas Brother days.

Jonas said that this “forced time at home” due to the pandemic has been great, he is no longer “always on the go” and appreciates having his “feet on the ground” with his family. When Gayle King asked Jonas “How cute is she?” he responded with a loving “Gorgeous”. Something extremely important Jonas learned in his first year as a parent? “Naps are nice”, which is a statement all new parents can relate to.

Jonas then went on to discuss the mental health foundation he and Sophie Turner are starting. Part of their inspiration for starting the foundation is seeing the toll this pandemic has taken on people’s mental health, especially fellow entertainers.

During this time period, Jonas and Turner have dealt with anxieties, the musician stated that he has had to “find new ways to calm” his mind. He made it clear that frontline workers, who he stated bear the brunt of this pandemic, need more support in their mental health.

This time with his loved ones has inspired him to take action to support frontline workers and others who are struggling through this pandemic in any way that he possibly can. It has also allowed him to focus on created new projects such as the mental health foundation that is in the works, as well as new music. He stated that he is “always writing and recording”, he believes this time has also made him more creative.
