Katie Holmes Directs and Stars in New Romance Film
The second film that Katie Holmes has directed wraps up with her as the star. The untitled romance film features the story of two strangers who have a messy relationship but end up living together in an Airbnb in upstate New York. When the COVID-19 pandemic strikes, they are forced to quarantine and come to terms with their disdain for each other which results in love.
Holmes wrote and produced the film alongside Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman of Yale Productions. Katie’s co-stars include Jim Sturgess, Derek Luke, Melissa Leo, Zosia Mamet, Luke Kirby, and Becky Ann Baker.

“As soon as we read this script, and heard Katie’s vision, we knew this was a project we had to be a part of,” Levine and Beckerman state about the film. “Katie is just as talented a writer/director as she is an actress.”
Holmes made her feature directorial debut with the family drama All We Had, which she also produced and starred in. The film focused on Holmes as a homeless mother struggling with an addiction to drugs and alcohol.
Shaun Sanghani of SSS Entertainment is also a producer of the upcoming romance. From Deadline, “EPs include Michael J. Rothstein, Scott Levenson, Lee Broda, Jason Kringstein, Gregory Ruden, Eric Broughton, Jackie and Michael Palkovicz, Michael L. Barnett, Kade Thomas and Colby Cote. Co-Producers include Jesse Korman, Zola Elgart Glassman and Alessia Donato of Yale Productions. The Forest Road Company provided financing for the film.”
