Harry Styles Slid Into Leslie Jordan’s DMs for Advice on His Upcoming Movie Role in ‘My Policeman’
Following the filming of Don’t Worry Darling, it seems Harry Styles needed advice for his latest acting role in My Policeman. Who is better to ask for advice than Leslie Jordan?
In a video interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jordan excitedly shared that the singer-turned-actor messaged him for advice ahead of the upcoming romantic drama.
“We talked back and forth a little bit. And he’s playing in a new movie called The Policeman in which he plays gay. And then I wrote back, boy you’re halfway there with your outrageous outfits and everything,” Jordan laughed. “I said, but listen. I’ve been playing gay for 66 years if you need any pointers or tips.”

Styles will portray Tom Burgess—a Brighton policeman married to Marion, a teacher played by The Crown’s Emma Corrin. Troubles arise in their marriage as a result of Tom having an affair with museum curator Patrick portrayed by David Dawson.

The “Watermelon Sugar” singer made his acting debut in 2017 in the war film Dunkirk, and he recently landed a leading role in the upcoming psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, which makes My Policeman his third film.

Filming has already started and is taking place in Brighton. Meanwhile, fans in the area shared footage of the production on social media, giving us a sneak peek of what to expect. We got a first look at Harry Styles in his uniform as the policeman, as well as his chemistry with Emma Corrin. Images of the two sharing a passionate kiss on set have been all over the internet.

The release date of My Policeman is not yet public. However, it is an Amazon Studios production, so our fingers are crossed that we can stream it soon.
