‘I Am Worth It’- Demi Lovato’s Story of Hope
As Mental Health Awareness Month continues, Demi Lovato shares a thread of thoughts on Twitter in regards to their mental health journey. The artist inspires fans to care for their personal well-being through the posts as they explain their hope for healing.
On May 5, Demi Lovato tweeted a video of a self-painted mug that quotes “I am worth it,” saying it was made “…in hopes [they] would truly believe [the message] someday.” The star continues to explain how their recovery journey is challenging, but they will continue to fight for themself. “There are periods of time where I forget about my food struggles and other times it’s all I think about,” Lovato reflects. “But that is what ED recovery looks like for some people and I still have hope that someday I won’t think about it anymore.”
This is the @NEDAstaff symbol for eating disorder recovery. I painted this at @colormemine years ago.. even though I was in the throes of my eating disorder, I still made this in hopes that I would truly believe it some day. I still struggle. Daily. pic.twitter.com/W6hM0nEe84

“It doesn’t have to take over your life, it doesn’t have to define you as a person, it’s just important that you ask for help. It’s not a sign of weakness.” -Demi Lovato#MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #Mentalhealth #MentalHealthMatters #YouAreNotAlone 💚
