ASHLYN is a take on the indie artist’s life the past few years. From revealing truthful moments of her divorce to the pain of her brother’s death and embracing self-worth, this album develops Ashe’s humanity.
Hailing from San Jose, California, Ashe is a twenty-eight-year-old musician. Her 2019 hit single “Moral of the Story” is featured in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before: P.S. I Still Love You. From 2015-2017 she wrote for other artists such as Demi Lovato. In addition to writing, she lent her vocals for dance and house music.
Uniquely, ASHLYN tells the tale of Ashe’s personality, life, and experiences. This album gives bits and pieces of how things can happen for reasons that one may not even realize. Despite challenges from all aspects of life, Ashe’s music reels in how there can be changes for better or worse.
The eccentric album features accompanying vocals of FINNEAS and Niall Horan. Ashe’s success stems from her seemingly strong drive and soothing vocals. With a tender voice, while hitting sharp tones, the singer produces a velvet quality.
Although the album is out everywhere now, the midnight drop on May 7 depended on where you were located. This got many people on Twitter excited for the timely release.
