Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards Announces She Is Expecting Her First Child
The girl group sensation Little Mix is now expecting two kids as a fellow bandmate, Perrie Edwards announced yesterday that she is expecting her first child.
Edwards took to Instagram Monday sharing, touching black and white pictures featuring her baby bump, and long-term boyfriend English soccer player, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The post read: “So happy to be on this journey with my soulmate, Me + Him = You 🌎♥️ , We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!” alluding to a possible nickname for their future child.
This marks the second pregnancy for the girl group as just days ago fellow bandmate, Leigh-Anne Pinnock 24, recently announced she and her fiancé, soccer player Andre Gray are also expecting their first child. Pinnock posted on Instagram to announce her pregnancy and did so in a beautiful emerald green dress which was open to show her baby bump.
Edwards and Pinnock shared heartfelt exchanges on each other’s posts, Edwards commenting “I can’t stop staring at this pictures. You’re a vision. Ily both so much” and Pinnock who congratulated her bandmate by saying ” And so bloody happy we get to go on this journey together! Love you so much ❤️❤️ “.
Among support from other members, Jade Thirlwall, the third member of Little Mix also wished support for her friend with a series of crying emojis followed by ” beaming for you both ♥️ I’m the luckiest auntie in the world! Love youuuuu x”. Thirlwall also made a light-hearted joke on Twitter as she is not pregnant and tagged her bandmates in the tweet.

Future dad and soccer player, Alex Chamberlain also reposted the same pictures with a hilarious caption that read “Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? 😅 ” and talked about his excitement for the long future of being a dad and getting absolutely no sleep.
With two out of the three members expecting, the girl group has not stopped releasing music as just recently they put out a remix to their 2020 single Confetti which features rapper Saweetie. The girls also released a music video for the song, which fans released was more than likely filmed during the girls’ pregnancy.

Perrie and Leigh-Anne have both been a part of Little Mix since the group’s formation in 2011. Little Mix has put out 6 albums to date with the most recent being Confetti, in November of 2020. With the group debuting this new remix we hope to see more music from the ladies of Little Mix, following the cute pictures of their children.
