Bleachers Share New Song ‘Stop Making This Hurt’ off New Album

Bleachers, the indie-pop band fronted by Jack Antonoff, has announced a new album, tour, and single accompanied with a music video all on May 18. The album is titled Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night, which is to be released on July 30 through RCA Records. The album is a follow-up to 2017’s Gone Now. Antonoff has released the music video for the latest single, “Stop Making This Hurt,” where fans can watch him dance through a diner as he sings the upbeat song. After these two incredible announcements, Antonoff also revealed that Bleachers will be embarking on a North America tour in support of the band’s third studio album.

Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night will consist of ten tracks. Two singles have already been released so far. “45” and “chinatown” featuring New Jersey icon Bruce Springsteen had been released late last year. Today, on May 18, the third single “Stop Making This Hurt” has been shared, delighting fans.

Antonoff previewed the single the day before on May 17, where he took to social media with a double tweet. The first tweet read the name of the single “Stop Making This Hurt” followed his signature tomato emoji. He then tweeted, “say goodbye like you mean it,” a lyric to the song.

On May 18, Antonoff posted a series of tweets expressing his excitement to tour this album. It’s a great feeling to be able to tour and reunite with his fans. Fans of Bleachers have taken to social media to share their overwhelming emotions over a new album and tour.
