K-Pop Phenomenon Taemin Makes a Powerful Comeback With New Track ‘Advice’

On May 18, K-Pop legend Taemin dropped his third mini-album Advice with a music video for the collection’s title track. This musical reappearance will be one-for-the-books as this is the artist’s final comeback before mandatory military enlistment in Korea.

Lee Taemin, the youngest member of iconic K-Pop group Shinee, released an assortment of music just in time before he takes a break to serve in his country’s military- a mandatory but honorable task for the men of Korea. With such a compelling music video and a satisfying five songs in the new album Advice, fans have taken to Twitter to express their enthusiasm.

The song “Advice” is an upbeat track with edgy visuals and an energetic choreography. Moreover, Taemin is seen rocking a dark, charismatic vibe, wearing colorful extensions, exposing his intricate tattoos, and dancing in smudged eyeliner.

“The more you try to trap me, I’ll go off the rails so take a/ Good look, if you want to see the end, push my buttons/ It’s for you, one advice/ Best take my own advice,” the star sings in the chorus.

In less than 24 hours, the music video has racked up more than 3.5 million views and 547 thousand likes. Despite the little promotion from SM Entertainment, Taemin continues to demonstrate his influential musical power in K-Pop.
