According to Entertainment Weekly, the book will be published by Black Dog & Levanthal. It will contain highlights from the show, including plotlines, character backgrounds, and hilarious gags, and running jokes. The Rose family–consisting of Moira (Catherine O’Hara), Johnny (Eugene Levy), David (Dan Levy), and Alexis (Annie Murphy)–will be honored in all their glory, capturing everything from their quick-witted quips to the sentimental moments that connected with audiences all over.

Moira’s unique character and personality will shine through her one-of-a-kind vocabulary, wigs, and dreams of her fizzled career as an actress, while Alexis’s outlandish, yet iconic, stories of adventures abroad and with A-list celebrities will be compiled. David’s legendary wardrobe, including his many sweaters, will also be displayed.

Although the Rose’s might appear pretentious at first, the family is deeply relatable and honest, making their dynamic incredibly fun to watch. The series first premiered on Canada’s PopTV, then added to Netflix, allowing this gem to be discovered by millions worldwide. After the series ended in 2020, the show swept the Emmys, winning in every major comedy category. The ensemble also won Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series at the 2021 Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as O’Hara receiving the Best Actress in a Comedy Series the same evening. The show was such a success, a documentary capturing the sentiments about the series finale and behind the scenes moments called Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt’s Creek Farewell was released in 2020, tying up the beloved series.

The book will be released in October but is available for preorder through the publisher now.
