The boys are back in town and they’re not letting fans breathe. On top of a tour announcement, Olympic special announcement, and BBMAs performance, the band dropped a single on May 20, at midnight.

All three brothers, as well as the band’s Instagram page, announced the single’s release on May 20. The single titled, “Leave Before You Love Me,” features DJ Marshmello.

Fans speculate that this is going to be a big hit for the brothers as there have been talks of this being a popular summer single, so it will be promoted as such.

The announcement does come as a bit of a shock to some because they announced that they will release their single “Remember This” in July 2021, so no one expected another single to be released prior.

On the band’s Instagram, fans had the option to pre-save the song and even hear a sneak preview. The sneak preview includes a guitar section and the lyrics “I see you calling, I didn’t want to leave you like that.” Not much, but it’s something that will get any Jonas Brothers fan excited.

The single’s cover art features white silhouettes of the brothers and Marshmello, posted in front of seats on an NYC train, something completely different from their Happiness Begins cover.

This will be the band’s first single in about a year, after releasing “X” and “Five More Minutes” in May 2020.

Not only were fans be able to listen to the song at midnight, but they were able to see it performed on May 23 at the Billboard Music Awards. While they announced the release of the single, the brothers also announced that they will close out the show with a special medley and a performance with Marshmello.

“Leave Before You Love Me” dropped May 21 at midnight. Fans can save the single here.
