KCON: Tact 4 U Adds More Popular Groups to Festival Lineup

On May 19, the ever-popular K-Pop music festival KCON has announced the second half of its lineup and includes some very popular idols and groups. Following the first lineup announcement last week, this second group of artists should make for some very happy K-Pop fans.

This new lineup includes very popular fourth-generation girl group ITZY, hitmaker boy group Stray Kids, and new on the scene Weekly, most known for their recent hit song ‘After School’. Other artists in this lineup include Astro, solo artist Ha Sung Woon, Japanese boy group JO1, Pentagon, and newly formed boy group VeriVery.

Last week’s first announcement included groups such as Weki Meki, BTOB, Golden Child, HIGHLIGHT, iKon, SF9, ONEUS, and ONF, and according to the KCON’s Instagram, the third set of groups should be announced soon. KCON has been happening annually since 2012 with the first being held in California. As of 2018, the festival has been held in 8 different countries such as Mexico and France. Over the years the festival has also been a hub for learning more about Korean culture and food as well.

Due to the impending COVID-19 pandemic, KCONTact will be held virtually this year, on multiple days during the month of June. The event stretches from June 19 to June 27 and appears as though will be filled with fun activities and tons of performances for eager fans. Fans can access the event by becoming a member of either Kcon or Mnet’s Youtube channels, and can only be watched through one or the other.
