Miu Miu and Levi’s Released Their Stunning Upcycled Collection

Summer is here, and nothing gives more summer vibes in outfits than denim. With that, Miu Miu and Levi’s collab created a great upcycled denim collection for summer 2021.

Denim is a classic piece in a wardrobe. A pair of denim can be a part of many combinations. Therefore, it is always the best option when it comes to versatile pieces.

An upcycled denim is crucial because of all the environmental impacts a denim production can make. For example, the immense quantity of water and energy required creates a significant amount of pollution.

Miu Miu and Levi’s collection is a step forward to sustainability. The inspiration comes from Upcycled by Miu Miu initiative, which started back in October 2020. It is an initiative by Miu Miu that began to be more ecological and use sustainable materials.

Levi’s past creations were the influence of this new collection, Levi’s x MiuMiu. This included the 80s and 90s vintage look from the men’s 501 straight-leg jeans and trucker jackets. But, some Miu Miu details make it unique. Also available are some of Miu Miu’s past creations with a twist.

The available pieces are full of details. This includes pearls on the pockets, embroidery, crystals on the shoulders and on the sleeves. In addition to a pattern of black, red, and silver to recreate the vintage looks.

Miu Miu’s metallic signature is part of this collection. With that, the brand’s metallic silver is part of the color scheme to create vintage vibes. Pieces from this collection can be considered unisex.

The brands chose Emma Corrin, Lila Moss, and Georgia Palmer to model the new sustainability campaign. The three are the face of the new collection.

 The collaboration will be limited to 1,000 pieces.

The collection is available at London’s Selfridges and Shanghai’s IAPM in May. It officially dropped on May 24 on the luxury brand’s online store and Dover Street Market Lost Angeles.
