New ‘iCarly’ Trailer Released by Paramount+
On June 1, Paramount+ released an official trailer for the highly-anticipated iCarly reboot set to premiere on June 17, and it’s bringing back all the nostalgia. Miranda Cosgrove reprises her role as Carly, the original internet influencer, and serves as executive producer for the series. Thirteen brand new episodes will air weekly on the streaming platform beginning this June.
Wake up every member of my nation—this isn’t the same Nickelodeon comedy series from nearly ten years ago. Familiar faces Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress will be returning as Carly Shay, Spencer Shay, and Freddie Benson. Fan-favorites Nevel Papperman, Mrs. Benson, and even Duke, a rambunctious wrestler that appeared in the “iHatch Chicks” episode appeared in the trailer. The trailer also introduces us to new additions, including Laci Mosley who will play Carly’s roommate. Jaidyn Triplett plays Freddie’s teenage stepdaughter Millicent. Together the characters navigate work, love, and family in their twenties.

“Carly has gone through a lot over the last 10 years — all the characters have,” Cosgrove told EW in May. “With the Freddie character, he’s gone through a couple of divorces. Spencer has become very wealthy, so there’s a lot of different dynamics and different things going on.”
Perhaps the most evident sign that the show has grown up was when Spencer exclaimed “damn it!” in the trailer. Fans took note and have a lot to say.
I wasn’t mentally prepared to hear Spencer say “DAMN IT!” in the iCarly reboot trailer!!! #iCarly pic.twitter.com/1ErUPEHNuI

Missing from the trailer are iCarly originals Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Gibby Gibson (Noah Munck). McCurdy announced this year she will no longer be acting, leaving fans heartbroken at the thought of an iCarly webcast without Carly and Sam. But with a stellar cast and new dilemmas to tackle, the show is gearing up for a new kind of series.
Sam and Gibby won’t be in the iCarly reboot but we’re getting Freddie’s overbearing mom and a Jerry Trainor that curses. I think we still won pic.twitter.com/IceZn02FEH

While the iCarly reboot will stream on Paramount+, Nickelodeon Studios had a role in producing the reboot along with Awesomeness (Pen 15, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before). And to everyone’s surprise, Phill Lewis—who played Mr. Moseby on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody— directed and produced iCarly’s pilot episode.
In just two weeks, we’ll be getting the first three episodes of iCarly on Paramount+. Get ready for episodes “iCan’t Take It” and “iGet a Divorce.” Until then, here’s a reminder of one of the best apartments seen on TV and a message from Cosgrove and Trainor.
