The meeting with President Biden will be the first encounter with a world leader since the death of her husband, Prince Philip. According to BBC News, “Mr. Biden will be the 12th serving US president the Queen has met as monarch.” The Queen has previously met with Former President Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump in 2019.

An announcement about the upcoming meeting between the two world leaders was made on the Today Show‘s official Instagram page. Mixed reactions were left in the comments section with one user posting all heart emojis, while others comparing this upcoming meeting to Former President Trump’s visit to the UK.

A recent tweet was published showing the latter side of mixed reactions of the upcoming meeting.

The Queen has met with 12 presidents during her 69-year reign, making President Biden number 13. The meeting also serves to resemble normalcy with foreign affairs since the Coronavirus pandemic halted the world.
