President Biden Scheduled to Meet With Queen Elizabeth
President Biden is expected to receive a warm welcome from the royal family as he is scheduled to meet with Queen Elizabeth on June 13 at Windsor Castle. This will mark the two leaders’ first one-one-meeting since President Biden has taken office.
President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will visit the United Kingdom for the impending G7 summit and meet with the British monarch. The G7 summit, also known as the Group of Seven, is scheduled for June 11-13 in the United Kingdom. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is scheduled to host the summit, and representatives from the seven-member nations are expected to be in attendance. The meeting with President Biden will be the first encounter with a world leader since the death of her husband, Prince Philip. According to BBC News, “Mr. Biden will be the 12th serving US president the Queen has met as monarch.” The Queen has previously met with Former President Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump in 2019.
