Liam Payne, a member of the retired musical phenomenon One Direction, opens up in an interview on Steven Bartlett’s podcast The Diary Of A CEO. The episode features an array of topics from the star’s past to current lifestyle- everything fans would love to know.

On June 6, Steven Bartlett invited Liam Payne to take part in episode 83 of his podcast The Diary Of A CEO. The in-depth conversation has racked up more than 240,000 views and over 27,000 likes. Fans were eager to listen in and support the artist and immediately took to social media to share their love.

The singer allowed himself to be vulnerable, highlighting some of his struggles throughout the years- especially how fame impacted his teenage persona. “You know as a teen, the one thing you need is the freedom to make choices and freedom to do stuff,” Payne started. “Although [from the outside perspective] we could do anything we wanted, we were always locked in a room at night. It would be a car, hotel room, stage, sing, blocked…” he explained when describing his super-star life.

However, Payne did share some of his best moments as well during Bartlett’s talk. “One of the biggest things that made me happy while I was training was at 4 am, getting up in the dark, [going to the park to] run for a little bit, and standing on something to watch the sunrise.” He continues to reflect with a soft smile, “It was the best thing, and you know why? It’s f-ing free. You can stand, watch the sunset and go ‘wow, thanks for another day.’”

Liam Payne remains a busy bee, creating new content for all his supporters. Recently, the star celebrated the fourth anniversary of his first solo song, “Strip That Down.” The song is featured in the performer’s debut album, which can be found here.
