‘In the Heights’ New Trailer Featuring Commentary From Ariana Grande, Dwayne Johnson, Oprah, and More
Warner Bros. Pictures released a new sneak peek for the upcoming musical drama film, In the Heights, on June 7. Sentiments of praise from celebs like Ariana Grande, Dwayne Johnson, and Oprah were featured in the YouTube video.
According to the newest trailer for In the Heights, the film is regarded as “The ultimate feel-great film of the summer.” It is based on In the Heights Broadway, directed by Crazy Rich Asians’ Jon M. Chu, and features music and lyrics by Hamilton creator Lin Manuel-Miranda. It is about the characters in New York City’s Latino neighborhood of Washington Heights, such as bodega owner Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), who dreams of a better life. In the words of Oprah Winfrey, “It brings to light the heart and soul of that community- their hopes, their dreams.”
The Greatest Showman star, Hugh Jackman, was featured saying, “It is phenomenal. It just filled me with delight. The acting was incredible, the dancing is incredible.” Singer Ariana Grande applauded the film, saying “It couldn’t have been more brilliantly done, and I can’t wait to see it again, and I need a soundtrack…Yeah, quickly.” Actor Dwayne Johnson explained, “It’s a day in the life of people who have dreams, people who aspire to be more, but also remembering that home is where you always want to come back to.” The trailer featured clips of the characters singing and dancing to the film’s theme song, as well as interviews with celebs like Drew Barrymore expressing how excited they are to see it.
The film’s Instagram page posted another exciting teaser.
