As Simone Biles competed in the U.S championship this Sunday, her boyfriend, Jonathan Owens, watched the gymnast compete for the first time and left a heartwarming message on social media.

The U.S. Gymnastics Championships wrapped up Sunday in Fort Worth, Texas, after two days of competition. And indeed, Simone Biles broke records, once again, with the seventh national win. Thus, making her the first woman to win the title.

Biles made history that day while her boyfriend, Jonathan Owens, was in the stands cheering for her.

Owens is a professional NFL player for the Houston Texans; therefore, Biles often posts videos watching him play football. However, due to COVID-19, this was the first time the football athlete got to see the gymnast athlete compete.

Later, after the competition, Owens posted on his Instagram a sweet message to his sweetheart after the incredible victory.

He wrote in his caption, “What an amazing experience. First time getting to watch you compete in person and you didn’t disappoint. It’s so cool that I get to watch you do what you love, and be the best at that‼️ I’m so proud of you my lil champ. Trials up next and you already know I’m there!! Love you baby.”

In addition to the post, as a response to Owens’s message, Biles wrote in the comment section, “I love you so much I’m so happy you got to come watch while in the middle of OTA’s you a real one.” The gymnast star refers to the Organized Team Activities (OTA’s) in the NFL, meaning the off-season training sessions.

Of course, the football player would not miss an opportunity to show his support and replied, “wouldn’t miss it for anything.”

During the U.S. championship, Owens shared photos and videos of Biles showing much encouragement. He called her floor routine “effortless.” Besides, he posted a video of her receiving the medal along with the caption, “Let’s gooooo, so proud of you love.”

Undoubtedly the lovebirds are often showing their support and love for each other.

Furthermore, at the U.S. Classic in May, Biles became the first woman to land a Yurchenko double pike vault in competition. She is fighting for a spot to compete in the Olympics in Tokyo, and the trials will take place June 24-27.
