Diana Ross Teases at New Album ‘Thank You’ to Be Released in the Fall

Since releasing the album I Love You back in 2006, legendary singer Diana Ross revealed she’d be dropping a new album titled Thank You. Set to be released in September, the singer also released the title track and first song from the album perfectly titled “Thank You.”

Working will award-winning songwriters and producers, including Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx, and Jack Antonoff, to name a few, this upcoming album should be full of some great songs. This will be Ross’s first album of original and new content in over 22 years and marks her first album in 15 years. Announcing the news via Instagram, Ross shared a snippet from the new song and a teaser video for the album. Telling fans, “I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to record this glorious music at this time,” the post features the vibrant cover art for the new song.

According to a press release from her label Decca Records,” Thank You offers a powerful, inclusive musical message of love and togetherness. With its songs of happiness, appreciation, and joy, it wholeheartedly acknowledges that we are in this all together.” The album recorded in her home studio features 13 songs, and “Her family, friends and loyal and loving audiences all around the globe have been an integral part of her wonderful life’s story.”

Although Ross has not released an album in quite a few years, she has still kept herself busy and active in the music world. Performing in the 2020 Glastonbury festival and celebrating a birthday in March, Ross has kept quite active and seen in the music industry. Rising to fame as a member of the Supremes, Ross has been a pivotal influence in music and continues to prove why she is such a legendary artist. Her newest album, Thank You, will be released on September 10, and with such an experienced list of producers and musicians, the long-awaited album should be well worth the listen.
