Sha’Carri Richardson has fearlessly secured her spot as America’s fastest woman alive at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials with 10.86 seconds. The 21-year-old blazed past her competitors with one of the Top 10 fastest times in history, missing Florence Griffith Joyner, aka Flo-Jo, by only 0.24 seconds.

The track athlete sensation has dominated this year’s U.S. Olympic trials qualifying for Tokyo’s upcoming 2021 Summer Olympics.

Sha’Carri took the competition by storm as she flew past her competitors like a blazing meteor with her flowing hot girl orange tresses. Along with her long embellished statement nails, her unapologetic sense of style oozed fierce, Black Girl Magic.

She told NBC, “I just want the world to know that I’m THAT girl.” The Texas native won the 100m final alongside Javianne Oliver (10.99) and Teahna Daniels (11.03).

Shortly after this victory, Sha’Carri brought fans to tears as she rushed over to embrace her grandmother. She later revealed that she had recently lost her biological mother that past week. She said, “This year has been crazy for me. Going from just last week, losing my biological mother, and I’m still here.”

The young top-ranked sprinter went pro during her freshman year at Louisiana State University. In 2019, Sha’Carri won the NCAA title shortly after. She has big goals of becoming the first American to win gold since Gail Denvers in 1996.

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics is expected to be held on Friday, July 23, 2021. For fans who want to play catch up with this track star in the meantime, visit her official Instagram and Twitter account.
