Woosung first entered the entertainment world through K-pop Star, a Korean music survival show, but would officially debut in 2017 as the leader of an alternative rock band, The Rose. Despite some difficulties along the way, the artist would also begin his solo career in 2019 with the release of his first album, Wolf. Although his newest song, “Lazy,” explains a sense of a constant sluggish state, Woosung has been anything but work-shy.
In a recent interview with UPROXX, Woosung goes deeper into the message he wishes to portray to fans. “I like for my music to be like a comfort thing where it’s not a big deal,” he begins. “I think that’s always my message, like, it’s okay. Listen to this, it’s not like you’re alone. We’re all going through the same thing. I think that was the message for The Rose, as well, all the time.”
In the meantime, Woosung continues to make music for his passionate fans. Recently, the performer premiered a short, charming clip of the song “Blackrose” on YouTube. Be sure to check out the laid-back piece here, as well as the music video for “Lazy” seen above.
