After topping the charts with their second English single, “Butter,” BTS amps up fans for the release of their third English track, “Permission to Dance.”

The single is setting to release July 9 within a repackaged album alongside Billboard No. 1 and their accompanying instrumentals.

Concept photos for the album dropped this past week, and fans could not contain their excitement.

The first set of photos appear to go along with the opening lyrics to “Butter,” the K-pop stars adorned in heart-shaped handcuffs “like a criminal undercover.”

The Bangtan boys went on to play with the “hot like summer” lyric: the two additional concept photo drops set at a carwash as well as the group laying out on the beach.

The two themes are meaning to go along with the two versions of the Butter album packaging: Peaches version and Cream version. The physical album will come with highly sought-after photocard inclusions, sticker pages, and a limited-print poster.

BTS has not shied away from collaborating with western artists in the past, and this comeback is no different.

Ed Sheeran shared his favorite track of the band was “Permission to Dance” on Instagram live, leading the Army to infer his involvement in the single as the title had not been officially revealed. His additions were confirmed by the reveal of the album’s tracklist on Thursday, Sheeran’s name appearing in the lyric credits.

Sheeran has worked with the group in the past with the heartfelt track “Make It Right” on their sixth EP Map of the Soul: Persona, which led to a remix involving singer-songwriter Lauv.

With their record-breaking fifth week on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and sixth possibly on the way, BTS has found a way to defy the odds that the industry has placed against them. And based on the success of their last few comebacks, Army is prepared to keep that momentum going.
