Madison Beer Shrinks Down in Whimsical Music Video for “Reckless”
Watch as Madison Beer shrinks down to fairy-size in the music video for ‘Reckless,’ which released on June 29. The 22-year-old singer directed the single’s video alongside Amber Park.

The music video takes us through a whimsical fairy world as she flies away from a dollhouse, floats amongst the clouds, and dances atop a magical book. Throughout the video, we watch as Beer walks amongst the flowers, looks out into a city skyline, and soars through the sky. It’s like watching Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, and Tinkerbell come to life all at once.
“Thank you dearly to everyone who helped bring this video and this wild idea of mine to life,” Beer posted to Instagram.
Beer took to YouTube Live before the video’s release and answered fans’ questions about her creative process.
“When I started writing the song I had this vision of this humongous book. That was kind of the theme throughout the whole thing was like this wonderland, fairytale visual of kind of me being super tiny on this huge book, and we did that,” Beer stated on her YouTube Livestream. “We just literally let the story unfold.”

The ‘Reckless’ music video has over 1.4 million views on YouTube after only 24 hours of its release. Even more impressive, the powerful love ballad has been streamed over 16 million times on Spotify since it first dropped in early June. Meanwhile, fans are celebrating the video’s release and early success with Tweets, reaction videos, and poster edits.
