Gigi Hadid Asks For Privacy When It Comes to Baby Khai
In an emotional letter posted to social media, Gigi Hadid asked the paparazzi, fans, and the media to respect the privacy of her daughter Khai. The new mom wants Khai to see the world around her while also keeping her face protected from unwanted photos.

Hadid and Khai’s father, Zayn Malik, have been spending more time in New York City lately. Since Khai is getting older, she is becoming more curious about her surroundings.
“She loves seeing the world! And although she gets a lot of that out near the farm, she also gets to experience other places—a true blessing,” Hadid wrote in the letter. “On our most recent visits to New York, she has started to want her sunshade lifted up (something she is used to at home) and helps herself to it!”

They live on a PA farm and in NYC. CA passed anti-paparazzi laws in 2013, PA and NY have not.

But when the sunshade is lifted up, it becomes much easier for the paparazzi or fans to take photos of the infant without Hadid’s consent. She asked the media to “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE blur [Khai’s] face out of images.”
“From asking around, I believe that that comes down to the integrity of the photographer, publications, or fans sharing the images,” Hadid continued in the letter. “I just want the best for my baby, as all parents do…and I hope this can continue the conversation to protect minors from the media even if they come from a public family.”
Hadid closed out the letter by thanking everyone for their understanding – especially those who have already begun to blur her daughter’s face. Meanwhile, the pleas of a young mother in the public light have led to discussion online.

Although she requests privacy, Hadid is not trying to hide her baby from the world. Back in May, she shared photos of her and Khai for their very first Mother’s Day. However, in the photos that were posted, Khai’s face was either blurred or hidden. According to the letter, that’s all Hadid is asking for.
