Britney Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, resigns after 25 years of working together. The reason behind this is the fact that the pop star wanting to “officially retire,” according to Rudolph.

While Britney continues her conservatorship battle with her father, the star told the Judge her father and team forced her to perform. Spears is on a hiatus since 2018, and that is the last time Rudolph had contact with her. The singer affirmed that she has no intentions of coming back. Her manager said she is in an “indefinite work hiatus.”

Rudolph wrote a letter to Jamie Spears, Britney’s father. Deadline obtained the letter that the manager announces his retirement. He wrote, “Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to retire officially.” He proceeded to explain his resignation, “As her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”

The resignation follows Bessemer Trust, the wealth management firm and Britney’s co-conservator, remove itself from this role.

Furthermore, during her statement to the court in June, which Variety reported, she admits that “my dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship and my management who played a huge role in punishing me when I said no.” However, Rudolph cites that he had “never been a part of the conservatorship nor its operations.”

Although their journey together has come to an end, Rudolph is “incredibly proud” of what they accomplished.

The now-former manager resumed the letter with an emotional farewell. “I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I’ll be there for her if she ever needs me again, just as I always have been.”
