Barack Obama has selected a culmination of some of his favorite songs and has shared them with the world by dropping his Summer 2021 playlist. Read on to see if your music taste compares to the former president.

With music ranging from Bob Marley to Migos, the 44th president listens to multiple genres and classic hits. With more than three dozen selected songs to choose from, Americans can now get an inside look at the songs that gets the former president grooving and on the dance floor.

On July 10, Barack Obama dropped his extensive summer music playlist on his official Instagram page. “With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer. ‘I put together a playlist of some of the songs I’ve been listening to lately — it’s a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between,” the caption read.

Some of the songs that made the list include, Straightenin by Migos, Exodus from Bob Marley & the Wailers, Rihanna’s Desperado, and many more.

The news of the former president’s playlist circulated on Twitter, with many people commenting on President Obama‘s great taste in music. Others created an Apple Music playlist of all the songs mentioned in the extensive list to make it easier for others to listen to.

Not only did President Obama drop his taste in music, but he also released his taste in books as well. The former president released his summer 2021 reading list, including novels from authors Nathan Harris, Andy Weir, Katie Kitamura, and more.

The tradition of sharing some of the year’s best music and books started during the President’s time in the White House. Now the tradition lives on, and everyone can enjoy the latest songs to get them moving on the dancefloor.
