Zendaya Opens Up About Her New Role as Lola Bunny and Unveils What To Expect On Euphoria Season Two
Emmy Award-winning actress Zendaya gets candid about her role as Lola Bunny in Space Jam: A New Legacy. The Euphoria star also shared what to expect for her character Rue in the upcoming second season of the HBO series Euphoria.
Zendaya opened up about her voice acting role as the reimagined Lola Bunny and shared what to expect for her character Rue in the upcoming season of Euphoria in a recent interview with Teen Vogue.
The red carpet showstopper has earned major credibility as a talented and versatile actress through impressive female character roles. Her eclectic roles range from Rocky Blue in Disney sitcom Shake it Up to Marie in Netflix‘s Malcolm and Marie. It’s no surprise that the talented actress has taken on a major voice acting role.
When asked how was she able to learn new voice acting skills through her role as Lola, she told Teen Vogue:
“The challenging part was the fact that because of COVID, I wasn’t able to be in a booth with the director or with any of the other actors. So we had to make it work in my house, in somewhat of a closet space, which was nice because I didn’t have to put any real clothes on. But, you know, it’s hard to maintain that, and you have such a respect for voice actors who have to maintain so much energy while being in a room, just through their voice. And without being able to use… obviously, like, I talk with my hands so much, but how do I give this energy without any of that? That kind of the difficult thing is kind of maintaining that energy when you don’t have that human ability to have human connection.”
Despite the controversy over Lola’s updated look to make the character less sexualized, Zendaya appreciates the opportunity to voice the iconic Tune star.

In Addition, the Euphoria star also unveiled that the upcoming season two for the anticipated series won’t be much of a fun watch throughout the season. She said to Teen Vogue:
“It’s a challenging season. It’s gonna be, hard and it’s gonna be devastating sometimes, but I think Rue really deserves all of that care when it comes to her character because I think she represents a lot for so many people. And I hope to make those people proud with our depictions of Rue and where all the characters go. I think this season’s not going to be easy, though. It’s not going to be a fun watch; I don’t think. Sometimes.”
It’s safe to say that Euphoria fans will have to brace themselves for what’s to come. The premiere date for Euphoria season two has not been announced just yet; however, Space Jam: A New Legacy is now in theatres and currently available on HBO Max until August 15.
