Hulu Released New Ominous Trailer for ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ Series
On July 22, Hulu released the official trailer for Nine Perfect Strangers, which stars Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy. Based on Liane Moriarty’s book of the same name, the miniseries are about nine strangers looking to transform their lives at a resort, but threatening and drama-filled situations emerge.
In the almost three-minute trailer, a car is seen driving through a beautiful area surrounded by trees. The scene transitions to Nicole Kidman’s character, Masha, welcoming the characters in the show to a resort called Tranquillum House. At the Tranquillum House, each character is looking to heal themselves during a wellness retreat. In one clip, all of the retreat attendees are seen lying in grave-like holes in the dirt that were dug up purposefully. After, Masha asks, “You want to get well? You want to heal? Surrender yourself to me,” while suspenseful music plays in the background. Despite Masha promoting healing and peace, most clips at the end of the trailer hint at drama, action, and tears.

The eight-episode adaptation series will include Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, and Samara Weaving.

Additional to the trailer, fans anticipating the show can meet the Tranquillum Team or explore the resort on the official Tranquillum House website. The website gives insight into Masha’s character with a statement explaining, “Since surviving death after a fatal accident, business executive turned wellness guru Masha Dmitrichenko has devoted her newfound existence to helping others reach their full potential.”
