The masterpiece of a music video follows a heart-tugging storyline of tragic love. Wang is seen going through an intense grieving process after losing a significant other in a car crash. Between heavy drinking, picking fights in clubs, and endless nights of isolation, viewers can quickly absorb every feeling the artist experiences- from guilt to sufferance.
this is one of my fav scenes bc just look at the stellar transition of his emotions and even the wardrobe change from happiness/being ok to suffering/feeling lost 👑👏🏻#DriveYouHome #JacksonDriveYouHome pic.twitter.com/CW2ccIAqZD

“So why we gotta check into the heartbreak hotel?” Wang begins in an emotionally vulnerable pre-chorus. “Oh hell, you know me better than myself / I don’t wanna go home, no way, without you / Ain’t gonna be good for my health / And every roadmap leads straight to your heart / So I can’t leave you tonight / No, not tonight.”
Jackson Wang has been on a roll these past few months with an influx of amazing content for fans. Recently, the former K-Pop GOT7 member helped record a promotional video for this year’s Olympics. While this honor may appear random for the performer, it is definitely no coincidence. Before branching out into music, Wang actually held the title of an Olympic-level fencer and was training to participate in the 2012 games. With the opportunity to film such a tape, Jackson Wang could share and connect back to his impressive roots.
Wang has also blessed fans with the release of his “California” remix, showcasing 88rising’s Rich Brian and Warren Hue. A bit further back, “LMLY” was given to the public as well- again with a creative, self-directed music video. Overall, Jackson Wang is ready to take over the music industry with his notable grit and talent. Time can only tell how far the idol will go. Until Jackson reveals any more seasonal plans, be sure to check out his music video for “Drive You Home” above.
