The five-minute clip begins with Eilish’s signature soft vocals as the camera slowly whirls around an old-fashioned, dimly lit room. The scene smoothly transitions from the artist calmly talking on the phone to fighting for her life in a flooded set.

“When I’m away from you / I’m happier than ever / Wish I could explain it better / I wish it wasn’t true, mmm,” Eilish sings in a dream-like state.
With a sudden influx of rain and thunderous instrumentals, Billie lets go of all her built-up feelings, such as anger, confusion, and sadness. As the film progresses to multiple scenes of screaming and dancing, viewers grasp a relieving sensation of freedom. Eilish ends the video smiling, floating away carelessly in the currents of the storm’s flood.
When her album officially saw the light of day, the 19-year-old singer took to Instagram with an endearing, reflective message for supporters. “‘Happier Than Ever’ my sophomore album is finally out. I can’t even process it,” Eilish begins in shock.
“This was the most fulfilling most satisfying and profound experience I’ve ever had with my music. Finneas and I were just on cloud 9 making this album I feel.. I love every song on this project so so much it literally scares me thinking about putting it out into the world for anyone to listen to. I feel like crying. I grew so much in the process of making this album and experienced so much self-realization and self-reflection. I wish I could go back and make this album all over again because it was some of the best nights in my life,” the Grammy-winner concluded on the post before thanking her brother for his underlying support.
Happier Than Ever is on its way to breaking records and topping the charts. While watching how far the album will go, fans can prepare for Eilish’s upcoming cinematic masterpiece. Premiering September 3 on Disney+, Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles will act as a tribute to the entertainer’s hometown and latest album. The movie is said to include never-seen-before performances and special guest appearances, one being her brother and musical co-producer FINNEAS.
