In an exclusive Los Angeles Times article, Coachella Co-founder, Paul Tollett, announced Frank Ocean is set to be a headliner for Coachella’s 2023 festival. Originally, Ocean was planned to headline Coachella’s 2020 festival, but the entire festival was canceled due to the pandemic.

Usually, Tollett does not reveal the artists headlining Coachella years before the event. Still, the co-founder believes the future has been very uncertain recently, so fans deserve reassurance on Ocean’s appearance. Tollett stated, “Right now, it’s the Wild West,” and the co-founder continued, “I’m just trying to be as fair as I can to artists and to the fans to make sure that eventually, they get to see everyone that we talked about.”

Coachella Valley, Music and Arts Festival, is expected to return in 2022 with headliners Rage Against the Machine and Travis Scott. Additionally, a third headliner will be announced later on. According to Pitchfork, Ocean was invited to the 2022 lineup, but schedule conflicts ultimately made the artist decline the offer.
