At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, no outfit is too elaborate. Competitors from all over the world dazzled with not just their top-notch performances, but their stunning accessories.
Tennis star Naomi Osaka showed off her new red hair as she lit the torch for the opening ceremony and represented Japan in the competition.
Canadian track runner Gabriela DeBues-Stafford sported rainbow hair to celebrate her sexuality.

Team USA athletes like gymnasts Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee competed with Olympic stripes and rings painted on their nails. Soccer player Alex Morgan had alternating red, white, and blue nails with American flags painted on them. Former figure skater Adam Rippon supported Suni Lee by taping pieces of paper with the letters of her name written on them over his nails.

Saunders also rocked blue and purple hair and wrote on Instagram, “Gave EVERYTHING for this. If you are BLACK, LGBTQIA+, Or mentally Struggling. This one is for you. S/O to all my fighters.” She won the silver medal in her event and became the 3rd female shot putter on Team USA to ever win an Olympic medal.
This year’s gold medallist in the men’s synchronized 10-meter platform event, Thomas Daley, knitted a Team Great Britain cardigan. He wrote on Instagram, “When I got to Tokyo, I wanted to make something that would remind me of the Olympics to look back on in the future. I designed a pattern for the colour work that would signify everything about these games!”

i broke two of my nails while trying to open a tough window. Suni Lee is collecting medals left and right in acrylics and honestly should get an extra one for that alone

I simply cannot get over the beauty that is the cardigan Tom Daley casually knitted himself. I have thought about this far too much this week. pic.twitter.com/KMbbJUxJR9
