Beyonce Shares Her Insights on Privacy and Setting Boundaries
The multitalented singer and entertainer Beyonce discussed privacy, setting boundaries, and healing generational trauma in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar. This September, Beyhive fans can expect the music legend to be gracing the cover of the magazine’s upcoming “Icon” issue.
All hail! The queen has spoken, and the Beyhive may have a burning question finally answered. In a recent interview, Beyonce shared the reasons for her notorious absence from the public eye.
The pop icon told Harper’s Bazaar:
“I’ve fought to protect my sanity and privacy because the quality of my life depended on it. A lot of who I am is reserved for the people I love and trust. Those who don’t know me and have never met me might interpret that as being closed off. Trust, the reason those folks don’t see certain things about me is because my Virgo a** does not want them to see it.… It’s not because it doesn’t exist!”
In today’s age, mental health has been a focal point in communities in order to spread awareness about its severe influence on one’s overall health. Especially in the celebrity world, mental health awareness has proven to be substantially essential. Queen Bey has been gracefully adamant about setting firm boundaries and staying few steps ahead to control her narrative and protect her name.
Beyonce said to Harper’s Bazaar:
“I’m grateful I have the ability to choose what I want to share. One day I decided I wanted to be like Sade and Prince. I wanted the focus to be on my music because if my art isn’t strong enough or meaningful enough to keep people interested and inspired, then I’m in the wrong business. My music, my films, my art, my message, that should be enough.”
Part of Beyonce’s journey was also working through generational trauma to heal and transform her broken heart into expressive art that would inspire others. The mother of three has her sights set on building a community where women of all races can support each other and discuss some of those secrets to evolve.
Not only is Beyonce the most-awarded artist in award show history, but she has also been a huge positive inspiration for today’s generation. Therefore, It’s no question why many are so eager to follow in this Black queen’s lead.
