Stevie Nicks Cancels 2021 Concerts Amid New Covid-19 Concerns
With the recent surge of the Delta variant causing a steady rise in Covid-19 infections, Stevie Nicks has canceled all five of her scheduled shows in 2021.
On Tuesday, the singer shared to fans on social media the unfortunate news,
“These are challenging times with challenging decisions that have to be made,” Nicks detailed in the statement, “I want everyone to be safe and healthy, and the rising Covid cases should be of concern to all of us. While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious….”

Nicks had been scheduled to perform at various music festivals across the nation. Her final stop on the festival tour was Jazzfest in New Orleans, originally scheduled October 8 to the 17.
Jazzfest canceled this year’s celebration due to the state of coronavirus in Louisiana and has promptly rescheduled the event to April 29 – May 8, 2022.
The artist’s additional missed appearances were the Jazz Aspen Festival in Colorado, BottleRock in Napa Valley, and both weekends of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Austin City Limits has brought in Duran Duran and Tyler, the Creator, to replace her, with Bottlerock filling the spot with country singer Chris Stapleton.
During the height of the 2020 presidential election, Nicks released a song meant to be “a prayer for the country” during such uncertain times. Even now, its meaning speaks on the hardships America continues to fight through.
“Show Them the Way,” as described by the singer, “[is] meant to be a moment of peace for everyone, and… you know the silly thing where people say ‘Can’t everybody just get along?’ It’s like, can we just figure a way out of this horrific thing that we have walked into?”
