Anitta unveiled that a wax figure of herself is getting created at Madame Tussauds in New York by posting a video of her posing and getting measurements to her Instagram.

Getting a wax figure made of yourself at any one of the Madame Tussauds companies is how celebrities know they have made it. On Saturday, the Brazilian singer became the latest superstar to get “waxed” as she posted a video showing the intricate, detailed process of creating her wax figure.

Madame Tussauds’ wax figures are created down to the finest detail, choosing the right pose, hair color, eye color, and skin tone. Because of the intricate process, the website revealed that Anitta’s wax figure will take approximately “six months and 20 studio artists to create in London before it’s ready for its place in the spotlight in Times Square.”

Getting your wax figure is a highly specialized and honored moment. The website reveals that each figure represents individuals who have made a significant impact on the world and are on top in their respective fields. Celebrities featured in Madame Tussauds New York in the past include, Jennifer Lopez, Alessandra Ambrosio, Shakira, former President Barack Obama, and more.

In addition, the widely-recognized British girl group, Little Mix, recently unveiled their wax figures in celebration of the group’s 10-year anniversary at the Madame Tussauds in London.

Now it is the “Girl from Rio” turn to be honored. Madame Tussauds spoke out and released the reasoning behind the “Me Gusta” singer getting her wax figure, citing that she is the “biggest ever global female popstar to come from Brazil.”

“Since breaking through in Brazil six years ago, Anitta has become the leading artist of a new generation of Latin American music. Anitta has been named among the world’s 15th most influential musicians on social media by Billboard,” the website mentions.

Upon hearing the news, people tweeted out their reactions about Anitta joining Latin queens, Shakira and J.Lo. in the Madame Tussauds New York wax museum.

Details about the wax figure itself is being kept a secret for now, but Madame Tussauds expects Anitta’s fans to love and adore the final product.
