STAYC Teases First Mini-Album ‘Stereotype’ to Be Released Next Month
Storming the K-pop world with their smash hit “ASAP,” STAYC is preparing to release more music with the announcement of their upcoming mini-album, Stereotype. Dropping the complete list of teaser release dates and stunning photos, the girls seem to have quite the comeback up their sleeves.
Starting strong with the album teasers, STAYC dropped their first set of sneak peek’s on August 16 (August 17 KST), with a short preview #1 of concept A. Featuring the members in beautiful dresses running through nature, the already released teasers look fantastic and show the girls in a different light from previous comebacks. Concept A seems much more focused on the light and airy side of STAYC rather than the usual teen crush concept. Full of iridescent lighting, sparkles, and glitter, these spoiler photos are really bringing the heat for this upcoming mini-album.

Alongside a series of starter photos, STAYC also gave fans a short clip of preview #1 for Concept A and a full list of when to expect more teasers. Over August and into the beginning of September, STAYC will release more concept photos, an MV teaser, and a highlight medley that usually features a small portion of the album’s title track and or all the songs. Preview #1 seems to highlight a more mature STAYC, as the phrases like “Never allow yourself to be blinded by prejudice” and “biased viewpoint” flash across the screen. The new direction encourages fans to think a little deeper and could mean a comeback with a more meaningful direction.

STAYC is under High Up Entertainment and consists of six members Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J. Their debut started with their debut self-titled EP Star To A Young Culture or STAYC for short. The girl group really took off after their first comeback with longer EP STAYDOM, which included the hit song “ASAP” that swept that K-Pop charts back in April. After waiting for new music from the 4th generation group, fans of these six girls are quite excited for the September release. With their recent success and catchy choruses, fans can’t wait to watch STYAC break the “Stereotype” in just a few short weeks.
