The Cast of Marvel’s ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Look Stunning at the World Premiere Screening

Working the red carpet for their first event for the upcoming film, the cast of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings look fantastic for their movie’s world premiere. The cast pulled out all the stops from gorgeous flowing dresses and beautiful suits and truly worked the red carpet.

The world premiere screening took place in Los Angeles on Monday, August 16, and marks the first event for the upcoming film. Marvel Studios Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu as Shang-Chi and follows his journey to “confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.” Other cast members include Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy, with Michelle Yeoh as Ying Nan, and Tony Leung as Xu Wenwu, Shang-Chi’s father; as well as Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Yuen Wah, Ronny Chieng, Zach Cherry, and Dallas Liu.

Cast members in attendance included  Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Ronny Chieng, Benedict Wong, Dallas Liu, Andy Le, Jayden Zhang, Harmonie He, and Jodi Long. Also in attendance were director/writer Destin Daniel Cretton, producers Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz, executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth, and writers Dave Callaham and Andrew Lanham. The premiere was also greeted with a surprise appearance from Sir Ben Kingsley, all there to help welcome the newest superhero into the Marvel Universe.

Liu stepped out in the classic black and white attire with a slight twist, wearing a custom Dzojchen brushed ripple Kimino Tuexdo paying homage to Asian culture within him and his character in the film. With his hair-sleeked back and some nice black dress shoes, Liu leads the red carpet in style while officially making his big Marvel debut as a superhero.

Taking the red carpet by style is actress and comedian Awkwafina rocking a red and cream pantsuit combination. Her pantsuit came from the brand Lanvin and was styled by stylist Erica Cloud as tagged in her Instagram post. Keeping it casual and sleek, the actress looked stunning as she strutted the celebrated the movie’s premiere.

Going for a more classic red carpet look were cast members Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, and Jodi Long, all sporting long flowing dresses. Zhang wore a stunning purple dress with a slit on the side, while Chen went for a stunning strapless coral pink number. Long taking an ode from the ultimate classic look, sported a stunning white dress with a cutout in the front.

Shifting focus, Andy Le, Benedict Wong, and Jayden Zhang looked dapper in their suits and outfit choices. Le wearing a black dress jacket spiced up a typical red carpet look with printed black dress pants and red Jordan 1’s. Wong rocked a grey suit jacket, blueprinted shirt alongside a nice handkerchief in his jacket pocket. Last but not least, young Jayden in a cream short and jacket set looked so handsome walking the red carpet.

Dallas Liu is finishing off the cast members sporting a tan suit jacket piece, which made the blonde highlights in his hair look even better. Leaving his suit jacket open, Liu looked effortlessly fantastic in his red carpet look.

Ben Kingsley and his spouse, Daniela Lavender, were also in attendance, matching a simple black look.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Charles Newirth as executive producers. Dave Callaham & Destin Daniel Cretton & Andrew Lanham wrote the screenplay, and the screen story is by Dave Callaham & Destin Daniel Cretton.
