Jackson Wang Stuns Fans With Powerful Performance of New Song ‘Drive You Home’
Jackson Wang has done it again with another stunning live performance—this time debuting his latest hit single, “Drive You Home.” With the song officially dropping just a month ago, fans were ecstatic to watch the singer take the masterpiece to the big stage.
On August 18, GOT7 member Jackson Wang showcased two of his most recent pieces: “LMLY” and, even more exciting, his new bop, “Drive You Home.” Performing in his home country at the 818 Gala, Wang made quite a monumental comeback as GOT7 is currently taking a break as a group.

During “Drive You Home,” the idol begins by walking to a lonesome desk with loud, commanding footsteps. Holding a bright red rose as the chilling track starts, Jackson seems looks to be reflecting on his past—a past with a lover. Similar to the music video, this business-like Jackson Wang unravels to demonstrate his heart-broken self.
“We fell in love on Geary Boulevard, ayy,” the artist sings softly. “With the sun comin’ down on the front of my car, ayy / Felt somethin’ like, somethin’ like an 80’s movie, yeah /Felt somethin’ like, somethin’ like you’d never lose me, yeah.”
The stage continues with cool, block, maze-like effects, demonstrating this never-ending cycle of distress Wang seems confined in. With cuts on his face from potential bar fights and a disheveled suit, viewers watch Jackson grow through these complex phases of grief.
Through stable vocals, extremely expressive emotions, and an intricate set design, Jackson Wang proves himself as a true artist. His love and passion for his work are more than visible to the naked eye, and with just as big as an inner fire, fans are more than ready to support Wang through every aspect of his career.
Recently, Jackson Wang also released another live performance—an acoustic version of “Drive You Home.” Until we receive any more exciting content from Jackson Wang, check out his 818 Gala performance of “Drive You Home” above.
