ITZY’s spring release Guess Who set the girl group’s place in the genre deemed as “maximalist pop.” The album’s single “Mafia in the Morning” peaked at number three on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart two weeks after its release.
Two of ITZY’s lead dancers have been accredited for their work by Studio Choom with their artist of the month spotlight. The YouTube channel is known for highlighting K-pop choreography in stunning 4K resolution.
Members Hwang Yeji and Lee Chaeryeong showcased their highly regarded talents with sultry choreography and looks that could kill.
With consistent success in the girl group sector, JYP announced in July that they plan to debut a new girl group in February of 2022. It is rumored that the group will be managed by Lee Jiyoung, the company’s first female member of the board.
The group’s name has yet to be revealed, but with legendary names such as TWICE and ITZY under their belt, there’s no doubt the upcoming idols will bring an unforgettable sound.
