Shawn Mendes is officially back in business with his new hit collaborative single, “Summer of Love.” Featuring Tainy, the song gives off that perfect sense of nostalgia and romance.
On August 20, Shawn Mendes and Tainy released their latest song, “Summer of Love.” After teasing the music world over the past week with video sneak peeks and a gorgeous picture of Shawn gazing into the camera with passion, fans were more than ready to see what the artists had in store.

The music video aesthetically begins with Shawn driving a crimson-red, classic car as fun flashbacks appear on the screen. The clips showcase multiple moments of relaxation on a beach, swimming by cliffs, exploring an intricate city, and so much more.
“We were in a daze learning each other’s shapes,” Mendes begins in a reflective pre-chorus. “Tracing shadows of rain down your back, oh / Kisses on your body, you’re my memory baby, nothing comes close.”
Shawn Mendes professionally and impressively helps define the different forms of fondness within “Summer of Love,” teaching supporters that endearment can come in many forms. Although the lyrics depict a daydreamy fascination with a significant other, the music video shows a combination of scenes from immediate intimacy to warm friendships to spending time alone, representing self-love. This helps open a fresh door for fans to think about in their daily lives, giving off a chain sensation of gratitude and a satisfactory euphoria.
