JTBC Shares First Look at Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo in New Kdrama ‘Snowdrop’
The highly anticipated Kdrama Snowdrop has officially released the first look of the upcoming romance TV show starring actor Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. Officially delving into acting with her first lead role, the first look gave BLINKS the chance to watch their favorite singer in a new light.
On August 18, news started to spread that the upcoming highly anticipated Kdrama, Snowdrop, had finally released a teaser of some sort for the new show. After the news was confirmed by well-known Korean entertainment source Soompi, the short clip was “giving the first glimpse of their upcoming romance.”
Snowdrop is set to take place a 1987 South Korea during its Democracy Movement. The major plotline revolves around Jung Hae In (Soo-ho), a graduate student found by Jisoo (Young-Cho), covered in blood after participating in the pro-democracy protest. Jisoo’s character hides him from the government, only to find out he is not who he claimed to be, all while dealing with romantic feelings for each other.
The new Kdrama seems full of cute moments between the pair, as briefly seen in the newly released clip. In the short clip, the two are seen dancing together and sharing quite a few cute intimate moments. The on-screen chemistry between the two actors looks electric already, and fans of the K-pop idol also love the new content.

Jisoo has participated in other acting gigs like the mythical show Arthdal Chronicles, but Snowdrop will mark her official debut in acting since she plays the lead role. Jung Hae-In made his acting debut in K-pop girl group AOA Black’s music video for “Moya” and has been acting since. Booking TV series Bride of the Century just a year after the music video, Hae-in has participated in many other projects since. While there is no official release date for Snowdrop, it is expected to be released during the second half of 2021, meaning in the coming month or so, fans could have a full trailer and release date.
