HBO Series ‘The White Lotus’ Gets Renewed for New Season Two
HBO’s satirical drama series, The White Lotus, has officially been renewed for season two. After bringing season one to an abrupt halt with a shocking cliffhanger, viewers who more than likely binge-watched the season within 24 hours are left wanting more.
Although the binge-worthy series kicked off its first season in the setting of a family resort in the lush islands of Hawaii, it still managed to deliver a healthy amount of dark humor, leaving satire lovers thirsty for more.
In addition to the season two announcement, the HBO series’ second season will look fairly different from the past six addicting episodes in addition to the season two announcement. In fact, viewers should not even expect to see more of the Hawaiian resort since there will be a new group of travelers, staff, and resort property in a different part of the world.
According to Town and Country, HBO announced:
“The next chapter of The White Lotus leaves Hawaii behind and follows a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.”

Season one’s impressive cast included Sydney Sweeney, Brittany O’Grady, Jennifer Coolidge, Molly Shannon, Steve Zahn, Connie Britton, Murray Bartlett, Natasha Rothwell, and more. However, its second season will feature a new cast with a possibility of some returning faces.
During an interview with IndieWire, The White Lotus creator Mike White said:
“I don’t think you can credibly have all the Season one guests on the same vacation again, but maybe it could be a Marvel universe type thing, where some of them would come back.”
