Shawn Mendes Set to Produce New ‘Life Is Strange’ Inspired TV Series
Singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes can now add executive producer to his long list of accolades. Mendes has joined the Square Enix team in adapting the video game-inspired series Life is Strange.
Shawn Mendes will take on the Life is Strange series with his manager Andrew Gertler. In 2020 Shawn and Andrew launched a television and film production company called Permanent Content. The production company has already produced its first film with Netflix called In Wonder. The film is a documentary that centers around Shawn Mendes where it follows his everyday life and how he deals with the pressure of being a famous singer.
The Life is Strange video game was released in 2015 and has gained massive popularity since then. The video game was released episodically, having four chapters and a fifth on the way. The fifth chapter of the series will be called Life is Strange: True Colors and will be released on September 10.

Shawn and his production company will also oversee music for the series, which Legendary Television and dj2 Entertainment will develop. Due to Shawn and his production team’s popularity with their first movie, fans are ecstatic to see what Shawn will do with this TV series.

The Life is Strange video game takes place in a fantasy town called Arcadia Bay, Oregon. The game follows a student named Max Caulfield, who will try to uncover a mystery about a fellow student’s disappearance. The game allows players to make choices and go back in time to redo any action they have made.
