British GQ commemorated their 24th annual Men of the Year awards Wednesday evening in London, bringing faces from around the globe together to celebrate progress. The event is meant to honor the men and women who have made strides politically, creatively, or intellectually, and have been people of notoriety and influence over the past year.

This was the first in-person ceremony post-pandemic, and attendees and honorees alike did not disappoint. Progress may have been the name of the game, but style was certainly on everyone’s minds. Guests, including Ed Sheeran, Winnie Harlow, Arlo Parks, and Jourdan Dunn, came dressed to impress in bright colors, elegant silhouettes, and unexpected ensembles.

Among those honored were Regé-Jean Page for Standout Performance in Shondaland’s Bridgerton and British-American designer Harris Reed for Breakthrough Designer. Dame Vivienne Westwood was awarded the Game Changer title for her work fighting climate change, and Kingsley Ben-Adir secured Breakthrough Actor for his portrayals of American icons Malcolm X and Barack Obama.

Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina acted as joint masters of ceremonies, filling the highly anticipated host position for this year. Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert, Dr. Catherine Green, and the research team at Oxford University were also presented with the ‘Heroes’ award for their work on developing the Covid-19 vaccine. A full list of this year’s winners can be found here.

The platform partnered with Boss, and also extended thanks to Peroni, Deezer, and Maddox Gallery for sponsoring several of their awards and helping to make the event possible.
