Doja Cat makes big moves in the music industry with Planet Her and even bigger moves in the crypto world. Caution: this article has major but exciting nerd info.

September 8, Doja Cat announced the drop of her first NFT on Instagram. The NFTs give her “Kitizens” a chance of winning free concert tickets to her next show and other VIP exclusives.

Doja Cat recognizes that most NFTs take a toll on the environment but explains that her’s is different because it’s affordable and eco-friendly.

The 25-year-old rap sensation debuted her first NFT on OneOf, a music marketplace for eco-friendly NFTs. The first drop consists of tokens ranging from $5-$100, connecting to 26,000 limited-edition collectibles. There are two tiers to know about: gold-tier flowers and platinum-tier elemental tokens.

The gold-tier tokens give the buyer access to Doja’s personal Discord, recognition as a founding Kitizen, and a chance to win free tickets to her next concert. The platinum-tier tokens offer a higher value for a chance to win VIP golden tickets that include free concert tickets and exclusive experiences such as an all-paid flight, lodging, and dining Doja experience.

Also, Doja Cat’s next drop is a diamond-tier token, which consists of rarer elemental tokens. These tokens automatically come with VIP golden tickets; however, there’s a limited amount of tokens.

In addition, the auction price goes for $2,500. OneOf wants to build more connections to fans. How are they doing this? OneOf guarantees the buyer a gold-tier NFT from future drops by other artists with a purchase of a OneOf tier token.

After purchasing a token from Doja Cat, Kitizens have access to a Discord community on September 20, connecting with Doja Cat, other fans, and possible rewards. The first three gold-tier tokens can be fused to gain a higher-tier token that would be rarer.

However, after fusing the tokens, they will be burned and no longer in your possession. Sounds tempting to upgrade, but you also lose the ability to hold Doja Cat’s first-edition NFT. Choose wisely. It’s like having a first-edition book that has more value than all the other printed copies after.

Interested buyers can purchase tokens with debit or credit cards or other popular cryptocurrencies like Ethereum or Bitcoin. Yes, that popular coin that every Youtuber and influencer is talking about. Welcome to a new world of tech and currency.

Not to worry, the platform runs on Tezos blockchain, a digital ledger that shows all transactions are distributed across a whole network of computer systems. What does this mean? It means that your transactions are verified and not a scam (as long as they are on a valid website and publicly announced by the artists themselves).

Of course, all of this comes with a warning to only spend what you can lose. At the end of the day, if you are not into NFTs, remember that you are buying these tokens for a chance to win big.

However, if you are into the crypto space, I’d look into buying some tokens because big things are coming for Doja Cat. This isn’t the last you’ll be hearing of her.
