Billboard’s Weekly Chart Came Out With BTS’ ‘Butter’ on Top
BTS’ “Butter” comes back to acclaim its title as number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Last week, the song was at number seven but resurged, taking back the number one spot and debuting a remix with Megan Thee Stallion on August 27.

BTS’ “Butter” has already acclaimed the title for the longest-reigning number one of 2021. As a result, the K-pop group can now crown themselves as the 40 single, spending ten or more weeks at the number one spot in the Hot 100.

“Butter” for 14 weeks has been at the top with Digital Song Sales and is at the 35th spot for Streaming Songs. According to MRC data, the week starting August 30, “Butter” was released on HYPE, BigHit Music, and Columbia Records, creating 10.7 million U.S. streams and 143,000 downloads.
Billboard’s 2021 Songs of the Summer Chart has recently been released, with “Butter” finishing on top. There are three factors the Billboard’s take into account for songs to end up on this chart. One is most heard on the radio, the second is most streamed, and the third is most-sold. Dua Lipa’s song “Levitating” was the most heard, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” was the most streamed, and BTS’ “Butter” was the most sold.

The Summer Chart’s top 5 songs included BTS’ “Butter” in the number one spot following Olivia Rodrigo “Good 4 U”, Dua Lipa “Levitating,” Doja Cat featuring SZA “Kiss Me More” and The Weekend and Ariana Grande “Save Your Tears.”
