The 73rd Emmy Awards were held this past weekend, and as always, these award shows allow cast members from iconic television shows to reunite. Last year, we saw the cast of Friends, and this year fans were treated to a Schitt’s Creek reunion.

This year the show’s family introduced the award for Outstanding Writing For A Comedy Series. Unfortunately, during the presenting of the award, the teleprompter was left blank. So, the cast had to improvise.

Dan Levy started to improvise in David Rose fashion by saying, “Why would anyone want to embarrass us on national television on purpose.” Which then Catherine O’Hara turned to Eugene and said, “Eugene, did you do something?”

Eugene Levy admitted passing by the writer’s room in classic Johnny Rose style and wanting a subtle change to the dialogue. The group then began to list off the nominees for the category, with Eugene announcing the winner.

Fans were ecstatic to see the cast up on stage for a mini-reunion

Schitt’s Creek is a comedy-driven show that introduces viewers to the life of the Rose Family. In a turn of events, the wealthy Rose family become suddenly poor. The only thing they now have is a motel in Mono, Ontario.

The last time fans got to see the Rose family all together was in the final episode of Schitt’s Creek on April 7, 2020, so this was such a fun treat for the show’s fans. Be sure to stream all episodes of Schitt’s Creek on Netflix.
