‘Bridgerton’ Season 2 Trailer Hints at a Fiery New Romance
Netflix’s smash hit Bridgerton is back for a second season and the trailer already promises drama. The streaming service revealed the sneak peek at their “TUDUM” event and it was enough to get fans buzzing. The short clip features Anthony Bridgerton (portrayed by Jonathan Bailey) getting put in his place by newly introduced Kate Sharma (played by Sex Education’s Simone Ashley).
The upcoming season will shift the show’s focus from the Duke of Hastings (played by Regé-Jean Page) to Anthony. As the eldest Bridgerton, Anthony has a set of unreasonable requirements for his wife to meet, despite his previously stated intention to “remove love from the equation.” It is as he’s proclaiming these open requirements that he meets Kate.

From the books, Kate is known to be an intelligent, obstinate London newcomer “who suffers no fools — Anthony very much included.” Though her chemistry with Anthony is undeniable, and their limited interaction in the trailer already has fans on the edge of their seats for what’s to come.
