Netflix Unveils First New Trailer for Upcoming Psychological Thriller, ‘Hypnotic’
Netflix is on a roll as it drops a brand new trailer for its upcoming psychological thriller, Hypnotic. The sneak peek was delivered to fans earlier on Tuesday with mind-twisting snippets starring Midnight Mass star Kate Siegel, who turns to a mysterious hypnotherapist for self-improvement.
Hynotic will be taking viewers on a twisted chilling ride this Halloween season, and the horror it brings will not disappoint.
The thriller will tell a story about Jenn (Siegel) who suffers from Generalized Anxiety Disorder and seeks treatment from a renowned hypnotherapist. However, after a few intensive sessions, Jenn is hit with more than she bargained for when she suddenly faces unexpected, deadly consequences.
Directed by Netflix’s The Open House Suzanne Coote and Matt Angel, the streaming service adds another thriller to the books for October along with Night Teeth and You.
According to Collider, the two co-directors used inspiration from films such as Ex Machina, Silence of the Lambs, and Vertigo.
The duo shared with the outlet:
“Our goal with a film like this is for the audience to have fun. Hypnotic is non stop. There are a lot of great psychological elements and big twists and turns. We love films like this, and at the end of the day, we hope the audience walks away having enjoyed the ride.”
Additionally, the talented cast joining Siegel include Jason O’Mara (Dr. Meade), Dule Hill (Detective Wade Rollins), Lucie Guest (Gina), and more.
Hypnotic will be released on Netflix on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Fans can follow the official Instagram account for updates in the meantime.
